How many cars does Mid Ohio allow on the track? From looking at the grouping, there may be a LOT of cars in our run group!!

Based on the GCR that says 25 cars per mile, and the track length of 2.4 miles (per the Mid-Ohio website, subject to change), figure around 60 cars.

You are correct. The track length with the Chicane has been officially changed to 2.4 miles. This will mean a Maximum of 60 cars per race group.

I just might crap myself if I see 60 cars in any one of these run groups. I think the most I've ever seen in a single run group at Mid Ohio during a SCCA regional is about 50, and that was years ago.

Better to be in front of 59 cars than behind.

I can see I'm going to be practicing my point-bys again!

Taking tomorrow off to get serious work done on the car.

Adding more charge to the Charger? Or you getting it ready for ORP this weekend?

Actually, 1) getting the transmission back in after replacing the clutch last October.

At the same time, I am going over as much as possible without taking the engine completely apart. So, let's see.

    2) reface the flywheel

    3) replace water pump

    4) exchange exhaust manifold - original had open air pump port

    5) remove egr pipe - JB Weld intake manifold port

    6) remove catalytic converter

    7) replace timing belt

    8) replace front suspension bushings

    9) replace brake calipers

    10) replace oil pan with baffled pan

    11) clean EVERYTHING! degrease, wire brush

    12) wire wheel all brackets, etc - prime and paint.

    13) clean out bolt holes, etc with taps.

    That enough?

BTW, when the clutch went out, I could not find one piece of the clutch pad. Nothing! What a surprise when I was cleaning off the starter motor, and all of a sudden all kinds of clutch pad pieces start falling out. Hope I got them all out!

    Back to work!

I got to meet Todd (tefkatt) yesterday, so he does in fact exist and isn't some 13 year old kid sitting at home on his computer pulling our chain. He seems like he might almost be more excited for this event than me!

No, I was too busy watching the classic Honda Vs. Mazda battle. Looked like Sebring without the contact.

Can anyone tell me who will supply Hoosiers tires for the June 2nd National & Restricted Regional event? A phone # would help also.

    Thanks
