Does anyone know what the max spring rates are that a koni sport or bilstein sport can handle? Also, I'm planning to run a coilover kit at a pretty low ride height. Which one can handle the lower ride height best, koni sport or bilstein sport?

I had used 550 and 600 on my GTi with Bilstein's.

Don't go too low on the A1s. It's not the shocks that determine your ride height. The control arms should be about parallel. Is you do a search, there was a long discussion on this a few months back.

Listen to what Jeff says. You drop those cars too low, and they handle like crap. Bump steer is horrible!!!

not only that but going too low puts too much plunge on the driver side axle and you blow the inner CV non stop.
