I *truly* wish that I could listen in on the conversation about those cars. I'm trying to be confident but I absolutely believe that it will degenerate into comparisons of on-track performance in very short order. Before anyone is allowed to participate in that activity, they should be required to go back and fully review how the (not so) Great Realignment was done, so they understand that's NOT what they are charged with doing.

First Gen Ford Probe/Mazda equvalient.... although I've not seen Stacy this season, she did run last year, and she makes up at least 1/3 of our regular ITB entrents in any given season.

    Chuck, thanks.

Kirk, I hope not as well. That's certainly not the intent. The intent is to basically make sure we have no Process irregularities (at least my intent) with the cars that HAVE been Processed (like the old beam axle deduction on the Golf, or the still existing fact the Accord is multi-valve but not at 30%).

In my opinion, we have already hashed out whether on track performance should play a role (it should not except as a gut check after processing) and what the correct power to weight ratio in ITB should be (it should stay the same). But we will see.

I anticipate this exercise then focusing on processing running ITB cars that have not been processed, and then moving on.

    I hope.

    The should-be-ITA Geo Storm GSi.

And Kai, the 1.6L Miata would fit perfectly in ITB at 2615lbs. (30% +50lbs double wishbone using todays math)

Your CT influence is bleeding through...LOL

I have no reservations against IT Miatae - very civilized so far, all I have run with . There is an agreement with my gf though re. the co-owned NA. Once I add mods besides the rollbar, I will have to buy the other half too.

2615 lbs??? The ITB Miata would be a fine option for the stout gentleman ...

Wow. Just off the top of my head, I can think of these that I've either seen, or know are owned and run.

BMW 320i (we JUST redid that car)
    BMW 318
Audi coupe. (i had to repeat that, such a glaring omission, LOL)
    Dodge Charger
    Dodge Shelby Charger
Dodge omni. (Saw one a few years ago in Atlanta, did veeery well.)
Ford pinto. Ack. But yea, they are out there.
Mercury Capri. One runs at LRP a number of times a year.
And we just redid the Volvo 242.

That original list looked reeeealy short.

    Todd, thanks on the 200xs.

Dave, thanks. Could you e-mail those to [email protected]?

Russ, the Pinto is not going to change. As you know we looked at it several months ago and believe it to be '"on Process."

Not that I have a personal interest...

Are you concerned that the Dodges are overdogs or underdogs in the current ITB lineup?

I haven't been on the ITAC that long, but for the record... I'm pretty sure the Volvo 242 is still a work in progress.

    A1 Scirroco
    Volvo 142

    Opel Manta
    Opel GT

If I missed any obvious ones being run, let me know.

    Thanks.
Minor detail - the Scirocco in ITB is an A1, as are all Sciroccos, but it is the Scirocco 2 iteration.
There are some BMW 320 cars around the midwest
There was a 318 on pole at the ARRC in '08
    A very few Fieros
Does the Renault in Ohio still run?
    Pinto baby!
There are A2 and A3 Jettas out there as well.

So, with all of those make/model lines added to the list, I'd like to amend my question to, "How are we coming on that complete do-over of ITB?"

Hahaha. The Chargers have appeared to be dogs...errr, just kidding. Honestly, with all the talk about changing the whole base power 'target' (Crazy!), I have no idea what to say to that question. Really ....

The old Omni that nabbed a second or third a few years back at the ARRC was DQ'ed. For missing the rear door cardboard trim panel. (I think it was removed for cage clearance). Assuming it was otherwise legal. (An ASSumption, yes), it appears that particular car can get the job done.

Re: The 242, yes, understood that it was on the books. Been on the books for awhile. Thought it must have been finished by now.

Jeff, you state that you THINK that the changing of the P/W ratio multiplier won't happen. I'm SHOCKED that you can say that. I mean, didn't the ITAC JUST redo Toms Honda (finally!)and a few others? And now you say you think the multiplier won't change?? IF the multiplier is on the table for discussion, what will happen with those just done reclassifications????
