yup; that's right! i must be out of my mind! 3rd weekend in a row down at Summit; this time i'm giving the H1 Honda a rest; gonna take the Probenstien down and have some fun! Andrew Z will be joining me in his H4 car, too.
anyone else? its a ball; practice day on friday, two races on sat, on race on sun (im only gonna be there on sat and sun). plus all the time in between, can watch mega $$$ antique, classic, and ground pounders doing what they were bred to do.....

i hope it's cold and wet, cause i am totally out of R comps in 225-50-16 or 245-45-16. gotta run the Azenias one more time. should make it fun to say the least!

anyone who cares to, please stop by and say "hi"!

You can just show up. It does not fill. $300.00 the Weather looks great. Well be camping out, look for the white probe and red/yellow/black integra.

What group would a Spec miata run in? might be dumb question, but can't find much on the website.

Great club and great events! I ran the Pittsburgh Vintage and the Fall Vintage with them.
Didn't know they let "moderns" run, but hey, the more the merrier.

For pictures of their last event (at Shenandoah) click here:

Usually VRG is 73 and older only. However, this one event (Turkey Bowl) is actually a co-sponsored event with Joe Blacker, who has a "modern" race group which included some Miatas, some Prod cars, a Pinto, a 911, an IT BMW 2002, a very prepared M3 and a couple of NASCAR or NASCAR replica cars. Two years ago there was a "Legends" group, but they didn't show up this year.

A very fun weekend to end the season. I've been twice and both times the weather has been perfect...high 50s-low 60s and blue sky all weekend.

Up until 2 years ago, I used to flag at this event. It was very much a "run what ya brung" event for the "modern" cars with everything from SRX7s and HP bugeyes up to SW and ALMS GT Porsches. You also never knew what toy Joe or one of his frineds would pull out of their trailers. It is a weekend very much in the spirit of the original DC region Turkey Bowls. as the verious run groups were "flexible" with their race types. The vintage guys would often work in a pursuit or other handicap race, and groups would combine for mini enduros. Often times they would run on saturday until dark, and then everyone would be too tired to run by lunchtime sunday.

I think I was there for the first or second year Legends ran. It was fun watching those guys get used to turning right. Some shared their cars for the enduro with a few sporty car types, and it was more fun watching them adjust to ~140 HP and no wheelbase to speak of. That was the first weekend I ever saw 4 wide through 1 & 2.

One of the more interesting race events I have ever seen with the most eclectic mix of cars as well.

We had a great weekend with lots of racing and fun. We ran two races on Saturday and one on Sunday. Todd (white probe) and I (red/black integra) had a lot of fun racing with eachother. There is not a lot of competition because the cars were all over the board so you kind of have to set up a race with someone. We handicapped with bad tires or bad brakes etc and made ourselves run close together. An awesome weekend to finish the year.
