Custom Trailer In/Around NC?

Looking for a custom trailer place in NC (or California if they'll give me a price and ship it here) that might be interested in talking to me about a trailer. I have struck out like 15 times now with email requests to trailer places - do they not have anyone capable of reading email? Welder burned their eyes out? Dang.

Seriously, if you know of a good outfit that can build one and get it to NC then let me know.

We're a little out of the way, but a place I can highly recommend is BDA Trailer (www.bdatrailers.com).

I dunno if he ships or not, but I imagine he would. He's in the custom business, and has made some, uh, unusual trailers that I've seen around here.

Up in your neck of the woods I'd check out what some of the circle track guys have. With all the NASCAR going on up there, somebody must be unloading an old trailer. The NASCAR circuit uses featherlite trailers to haul their "show" cars. The ones that are set up in at Kroger's or Publix or such that are just for lookin' at. I'd bet if you started asking around, somebody wants a new trailer and is looking to get rid of a really nice "old" one. If you are thinking about adding shelves and stuff, get more than a 20' foot or you'll run out of room fast.

Thanks for the help guys, a used roundy round might be good but I do plan to stay at 20ft - I'll be the Master of Efficency and make it work. Longer means it'll have trouble staying in the planned garage.

I did finally get a quote from an outfit in Burlington, it ain't pretty, but a lot of money could be saved used and doing a lot of the options myself. I just need a good aluminum base trailer to start with.

Looks like I was pretty close on price. Maybe even a little low. I think ShadowMaster is in the NC/TN area somewhere. That's a pretty popular brand among the circle track guys. My trailer is a ShadowMaster and I bought it from a guy in SC who got a new one with a living space. He used it to take his 5 year old kid to circle tracks for go-kart racing (not kidding). I'm fairly happy with the build quality. It's got dexter axles, though they're the leaf spring type not the torsion type. The door did pull the bolts out of the frame, but that was easily rectified. May want to check around and see if anyone carries that brand.
