    HI
Just put in a new CLutch in the FX16 Corolla. Took it for a spin and have a wicked oil leak.
I can not see any evidence of it from any gaskett on engine or transmission. it appears to be sprayed all over the back of the engine bay behind the engine.

my theory is that it is coming from either
    1) the main seal behind the fly wheel
    2) inside the gearbox where the shaft comes out and thru the clutch.
    3) last option would be from the drive out from the transmission to the drive shaft.

Any ideas on how better to identify the leak ?? enigine has 127kmiles trans has same.

any options to fix other than pulling the whole thing oout again??

    Cheers bumed out.
    Cheers SteveP

    Need a picture.

Oil leaks can be anything from bad gaskets to severe blow-by,

I get oil out of the dip-stick, the distributor, the valve cover, the rear main, etc.

If you can keep the fluids different in color between that for the tranny and that for the engine, it would be much easier to diagnose.
