There is a zoning meeting TOMORROW EVENING 8/10/2006 to maybe decide the fate of Road Atlanta. Attached is a link for further information about this topic. Please share this link and information with your racer e-mail lists and other forums and help spread the word.

This is NOT A POST TO HIJACK traffic to another forum. Please do not delete. It's an important issue for all racers, companies and sanctioning bodies involved with the sport. This link describes fully the issues with the track and what is going on with the County Commissioners tomorrow evening. Head count and bodies are needed there. The most important post in the thread is this one:

I called Brian Skuza (Track Manager) to see if he wanted us to speak at the Commissioners meeting
as I/we did at the Planning Commission meeting lst month. He said he wants to fill the auditorium with
supporters for Road Atlanta, then simply ask everyone opposed to this request to please stand up.

Will it sway a Commissioner whose mind is already made up? Probably not. Is this the "final" vote
once and for all? Who knows. Will I be there anyway? Damn right.

Meeting is 5:00 PM on Thursday, Aug 10, at the Georgia Mountain Center, 301 Main Street (Jesse
Jewell Pkwy), Gainesville, GA. Road Atlanta can certainly use your support if you can make it.
