David Jones will be hard to beat in ITA. Wolverton (ITE) will lead the pack, and lap a lot of us. Looking for a fun time.

    Yes Bill...Sorry out of luck.

No...actually...I'm sure you can just register with Carol when you get to the track.

C'mon up Bill!!! Online registration has to close on Wed. before the race for Carol to (insert some sort of necessary Registration function here).

I believe she just processes any late registrations at the track.

I had a great weekend guys! The only complaint I have is that I was paddocked down by turn 2 and the PA wasn't working on Sunday so I didn't make it to grid until under the 5 for both sessions that day.

Other than that, I beat my fastest time around the track by a full two seconds on Sat. and took third both days!

Besides finishing 2nd at MMP earlier in the season, those are the best results for me so far!

    Can't wait for MAM!

I was able to hang with the silver one for... ohhh... one corner.

Pete, how was it going into 1 with the silver one coming out of nowhere! Saw that from the tower and new there had to be a little of a pucker factor on that one.

BTW... results are posted on mylaps PDF's available on www.stlscca.org. Anyone who needs THEIR individual lap times, let me know.

Sorry I couldn't play...I stuck a rod thru the block in Saturday's qualifying.

Yeah, that was a shock! I checked my mirrors around the start/finish line and I didn't see anyone near me. Man that thing came up fast! :119:

Is that what happened to you!?!? That sux! I saw you off to the side near turn 4, but I didn't know it was that bad! Are you going to have it put back together for MAM or the next one at Gateway?

I came out of T2 with power, it felt soft, like the rev limiter (but too low an RPM), saw oil pressure dropping, and a ton of smoke out the rear, I got off the race line as soon as possible and hit the dirt. Glad there wasn't a fire. It put a golf ball sized hole in the block just ahead of the header. I have a spare junkyard engine that I'll have to rebuild, so I doubt I'll make MAM, but maybe Gateway in October. You've been fun to race with....we're both learning in our rookie season. Keep up the good work.

Likewise man! I've kind of gotten used to seeing the back of your red and white Miata (I can't see the yellow from behind)! :P

This is actually my third season racing, but in the first two seasons I only did three race weekends total. This year I've done eight so far and plan on two more before it's over.

Until this year, I'd never been away from Gateway, but have now been to Memphis, Hallett and Heartland Park. Hallett is by far my favorite track , but it's a 7.5 hr tow for me. I think MAM is going to be about as far from St. Louis.

I'm surprised that you say you're a rookie! Have you raced in the past at all? You're pretty quick around the track for a new guy!!

Hope to see ya at the October race; maybe I can finally meet you in person!

Nope, this is my first year (but thanks for the compliment). I have been to Hallett (6 hour tow) three times (once last fall after I bought the car), plus Memphis twice, Gateway twice(5 hour tow), and MAM once(9 hour tow). You were really getting it together at the end of the last race at Hallett. I looked for you at Gateway, but couldn't find your trailer. I guess I didn't look far enough. Look forward to meeting you.

That's right!!! I remember that great drag race we had at the end down to the start finish line on Sunday! I didn't want to waste time short shifting and I thought I could make it, but I hit the rev limiter right before the checker. That was the closest finish I ever had with someone.

At Gateway I was paddocked all the way down by turn two. Where were you set up? At the North end of the paddock?

Yes, I like to pit north of the garages. That was my second time to gateway, engine problems both times. The first time it was blowing one gallon of water in 3 laps and overheating.....had a split hose on the back of the head that release water when it heated up.
