I would say 5 hours max... at night you can do it in much less Traffic is the biggest issue, plan accordingly.

now wait, does this inquary mean you may be coming to NHIS in the next few weeks?

Bill-That's a long tow and is all dependent on time of day, traffic emergencies, construction projects and where precisely is "around the NYC area".

Have fun though. Once north of Boston it is a nice ride.

    Bill -

As noted, very time and location dependent, but never good. For example, the last time I made the trip, towing with Steve Colletti from central Long Island (Port Jeff) it was a eight or nine hour trip. Figure two plus hours just to get off the miserable sand bar, and about 6.5 to 7 hours from the Throggs Neck Bridge.

Oh the sand bars not that bad, but true it sucks getting over the cross bronx and the ferry doesnt take kindly to trailers.

I live 45 miles east northeast of NYC. MY time to NHIS is about 3.75 -4. Traffic dependant, of course.

If you are north of the city, hit rt 84...it's not too bad.
