Picking the collective brains of the IT crowd here...

Looking for a temp sensor adapter that has a female M6 tap at one end and a male 1/8NTP on the other.

    Ideas? Thoughts? Direction?

Even some well written sarcasm would be welcome! :P

    Thanks!

Any machine shop could make this, and it wouldn't be very expensive, but you'd probably have to buy the M6 tap. I assume you're talking about some sort of 6mm metric pipe thread, and not a M6x1.0 or M6x0.75 straight thread.

Is there such a thing as a 6mm pipe thread?

get an oil switch with 1/8NPT nipple (air cooled VW beetle). Drill and tap to 6mm. Hacksaw the nipple off.

I suppose it is possible that a metric sender could be M6, but generally the ones I have seen from Japan (Omori for instance) are BSPT (also called just PT in Japan).
