What kind of a car do you have, Dennis?

Good luck on your first event!

I just spoke to IRP about the test day May/5. Here's what I know.

    Gates open 7am
    1st group out ~8:30am
    1 hour lunch break
    Registration closes at 3pm
    Sign-up/Register upon arrival
    20min alternating open/closed wheel groups
    Enter thru Gate 8
    Full day $125
    1/2 day $75

Kevin, any ideas? I think a half day would be good. Maybe make a relaxed leave from cbus Friday morning to run in the afternoon. Assuming it doesn't fill up. (no limit known to IRP)

I'll be there with my "slow" Escort. I'll be joining 2 other Neons, one of which wrecked last year which Steve caught on tape.

That's the normal deal they usually have.
The afternoon sessions are usually not too full.
Just depends how much track time you want.

I promise to try and not catch any more such incidents this year!

That sounds good to me. If we load up Thursday night, we can leave my house around 7 or 8am and be easily there and ready to go by noon. For $75 I may even take a couple sessions myself.

I'm adding ballast to my car tonight so I can meet my new weight. After that I'll be corner weighting, checking toe, and all that happy stuff. I should be about ready after that.

I'll be heading up Friday morning with my new ride. Can SM guys still post here? Going to take a few laps Friday to see what this SM craze is all about before jumping in the deep end. Stop by and say hi!

Chris, did you sell the RX-7? Are you planning on making a run at nationals this year in SM?

I got the new ballast in my car last night and got it all corner weighted. It's going to be wierd having to actually worry about making weight now since that's something I've never had to worry about before.

What's corner weighting? Oh, you must mean what happens when you are waiting for the car to actually make it through the corner. I know all about that.

    checking toe[/b]
I checked all my toes. The big one on my right foot has a hangnail.

My car is still just as it came off the track after the last weekend at M-O. I made the side work I had been doing into a legit business last fall and have had zero free time since. I toyed with the idea of selling the car but will keep it. I decided a few months ago I would just mothball it for at least this year. Aside from being too busy the price of gas just has me not wanting to even think about pulling the trailer.

A buddy of mine built the SM car last year. He's new and offered me a drive or two to shake the car down and see where it's at. Lets me keep my license in good standing and have some fun.

    Chris,

I ask you to drive my car , I introduce you to attractive 24 year old blonde females, do you have any better friend? I only hope that Jared doesn't spend the Sunday of this weekend at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital like he did last year at this event weekend.

Good luck, Kevin. Wish I was going, but it would have been a real expensive weekend, and I did not feel comfortable driving that far for the first race on the car, and the shift linkage is not done.....

We're looking forward to seeing you on the hill at Mid-Ohio in July (that would be FTW since you will be in Indy the first weekend).

Win, I'm pretty sure we all feel that way. Is Jared still running the FV?

I'll try and get some a copy of the early entry list to post.
