SCCA club racing states AMB or compatible.

I use the hardwired AMB 260, my friend uses the rechargable (but hes forgotten it at home once so far.)

your looking at 325-360 for a new transponder. Pegasus, OG Racing, and im sure other vendors sell them.

Sometimes you can find them on Ebay or here, but not often.

Unless you have more than one car, I can't see many reasons not to go hardwired, and switched on the master.

Pretty much rare as hens teeth on eBay. If they are there, they are usually bid up pretty high.

Just resign yourself to buying a new one and get the hardwired.

    Cheers.

I got mine from an SCCA region in FL - Central FL if I remember right. They had about the best combination of price and shipping.

Like Bill said, Central Florida Region has the best $ w/shipping. I think the hardwired unit was $282 total including USPS shipping.

Ya can't beat that with a stick, but when you open the box you'll feel you should have got more for $282.
