A one way bus ticket and a tow bar?
There are guys out there who make a living transporting cars. Guys trading in salvage cars do it all the time as do hot rod/show car builders.
I shipped 3 pick ups from Raleigh/Durham to New Hampshire one time, they were about $600 each for that trip. I didn't source the carrier so I don't know how to find someone other than a google search. I had no problem, but I've heard people tell you to be wary.
I had a car shipped from Oregon to New Hampshire and used Horseless Carriage. They use only enclosed carriers. And the same driver picked up and delivered the car. Unfortunately, I was the last stop so only my car was on the trailer. I had visions of Ferraris in my driveway.
