I have a brand new set of full thread RA1's used in one very wet 30 minute race. They still look practically new. Can they be shaved? Has anyone do it? I understand that there might be issues with tiny rocks on tires damaging shaving equipment. Thank you in advance.

Depends on the shaving equipment. If its a true ravor setup, those guys typically wil lnot touch a used tire. There is also a machine that "buffs" the tire, and those guys typically will touch used tires. Les Schwab (chain tire tore) usually has them, and I heard tireshoppe.com has one. Not sure where they are located.

Give Phil Phillips, at Philstireservice.com, a call. He is north of you in Haverstraw and now does shaving.
