My European bearing supplier disapeared and I'm having trouble locating an affordable alternative stateside.
Looking for a source for SKF, GEH17C bearings for less than $30, These are high quality, high capacity, teflon lined bearings. So far I'm finding $50 - $70 each is ht egoing rate when I was getting these before for $20 !

Here are the dimensions. Will consider other manufacturers but they dimensions must be the same.

    FAG GEH17C

    SKF (Eur.) GEH 17 C

Bill--I don't know a cheap source for you, but in my last experience finding spericals, my bearing shop sold me a "cross-reference" from a different (a well-known) manufacturer that simply never fit the application. They had to order the original (an Aurora) at extra cost, but, of course, it fit.

Fortunately, they gave me credit for the substitue.

    Bill,
I've always had good luck with this company http://www.pacific-bearing.com/Distributors/default.cfm
They carried FAG,SKF in the past.

Although it's been a while since I have used them, I have always had good luck with these guys.
