Dyno'ed the TR8 again after the following improvements:

    1. Better header design.

    2. Rebuild carbs, all emissions passages blocked.

    3. .020 pistons ($$$$$)

    4. Port match the intake, cylinder head and headers.

I've had some ignition woes I can't shake, but made 200 lbs of torque at 3500 rpm and 160 hp at 4500 rpm before the car started to miss. This is at the wheels, on a Dynojet.

This is up from 180 tq, 159 hp in the winter but at 4000 rpm and 5800 rpm respectively.

The car is making way more torque than we thought, probably 220 or so, perhaps more, at the crank. Horsepower is disappointing, but I am sure there is more above 4800 rpm once we get the motor running right. 175 hp at the wheels, 220 tq at 2560 lbs should make a decent S car if I can learn to drive the beast.

Ron will post the dyno plot, plus some SM dyno plots later this week or next.

Car is running like crap though. Need to fix that.

    Jeff,

your numbers seem low, It is probably not worht a dyno until it is running right. It is interesting to see those numbers. Now I wonder what our 8s are doing. On second thought it might be depressing
