Why does my RX-7 have a return line off the carb going back to the fuel cell? Why does the return have a one-way check valve inline?

Do I need this additional line?

I'm sure you'll get many different opinions on this, but I'd leave it. It's too much of a pain to get rid of it and should you ever need to swap carbs in a hurry at the track, or break the custom inlet you'll wish all of that stuff was still there.

My carb had the return line deleted and the carb was dead headed. I never could get the fuel pressure to stay consistant w/o the return line. Of course I had to put all of the stuff back on to do it and spend 8 hours trying to find a new inlet.

Besides, your fuel pump (and wallot) will thank you if you keep the return line operational.
