I'm getting a new header from Walt/Delta Group/OPM. I know they don't build them to be used with O2 sensors. What do I face if I don't use an O2 sensor? Is it not an issue since the engine is at wide open throttle most of the time and the ECU is in running in open loop?

I've simply had an O2 sensor bung welded into the two OPM/Puckett headers that I have owned and have like their headers very much.

Yup, just get a bung welded in near the end of the header and us the O2 sensor. Running without it will cause way too many problems, IMHO.

I've been running without an O2 sensor all season, no problem.

    YMMV, of course. :119:

Until I get the ECU chipped, I think i will just put the O2 in the exhaust pipe right after the A-Pipe so I don't have any part throttle issues.
