How much would you advance or retard the cam in a D16 Honda engine. I know it is not easy in IT, but I want to do it in my car for FP races using a varible-cam gear.

We set ours +2 degrees and that works nicely. Just used the timing light and distributor. As to changing the actual CAM timing-you could use some sort of offset bushing I would think. This along with a degree wheel is a solution. Our engine stll has all of the pollution controls on it as well as being otherwise stock (176k). Keep in mind that using an adjustable sprocket is best done on a dyno.
