Under authorized Modifications rule 17.1.4.D.1.a.5. the rule states: All single carbureted cars may fit an approved optional carburetor. Then there is a list of approver carburetors. My question is, when I "FIT" the carburetor (FIT is the word within the rule) per the rule may I use a manifold other than the original manifold ?

I would like to read responses of all sorts to answer my question.

No sorry Dave, stock manifold. The Honda and 510 guys use a Weber with an adapter plate that bolts on to a stock manifold.
The word "FIT" has been discussed and I belive had a proposed change in wording in Fastrack this year.
