    Default Escort LX

New here, just wanted to get options, I'll try to keep it brief.

New Track being built in Utah, I have a 94 Escort LX I would like to Run in IT. I have downloaded the book from SCCA.com and this car is not listed. If I do all the allowable mods, where would that put me? Or am I stuck looking for another car?

I would really like to race this car for now because, well it is already mine and paid for. I have the mechanical skills and tools to build it.

    Thanks for looking,
    Rob

Simple--Not on list means No Race.

If prepped to IT standards you could probably use it at a school, but beyond that, there is no real help here.

That car should be slotted into ITB if presented to the board (maybe even ITC if it is left heavy).

Right now it does not qualify for IT.

    Good luck.

What about ITE? I was told it was a catch all class for the cars not listed in ITS, ITA, ITB, ITC, and the car has to be prepped according to IT rules.

Any way if I did decide to keep working with the LX, How would I present it to the board, and how soon would I find out if it is added to the list?

I would not want to start prepping the car and find out that it was not added, but at the same time I would not want to wait a long period wondering if it will be added.

Maybe I will start looking at other makes and models. Not sure what comes resonably priced around Utah.

    Thanks for the Info,
    Rob
