Willow Double

Hi all just thought you might like an update, we raced at the double at Willow Springs this weekend. Only 4 ITB cars! And 2 ITC! Both ITC were not able to race in Sundays race. No I did not win Sat we got 4th and Sunday we broke I think the Dist pin sheared off again! Anways we were hunting a Golf when this happened! Well next time !st place BMW 2002 2nd 2002, 3rd Golf DNF sunday.

In that Steve Smith book about building a Pinto mini stock, he tells how to fix your distributor problem. Drill's out the shaft and gear and uses a nail to replace the roll pin. I did mine and never had a problem again. A nail is tuff but not brittle like a roll pin.I put a small counter sink on the out side of the gear and penned over the pin on both sides to keep it in place. DICK
