    Default 2.3L question

    took the head off, now ready to put back on and i noticed that there are no guide pins to hold the head gasket in place, whats up with that? can i just get new pins and install them?

    There should be hollow dowels on two corners of the head / block. If there is not, you can get some from Ford, no big deal. They are the same part as used in a 302, so you should have no problem getting them.
