Rear upper strut mounts

Just wondering, I have not yet checked the GCR. Are the rear upper strut mounts free? Could you fab, weld in, a camber plate?

You won't get much out of the REAR strut towers for camber.

Camber is not the only reason to install the plates. They will also give me a spherical bearing to mount the top of the strut to. Our stock mounts bind quite a bit.

Then you should consider using the opportunity to effectively "shorten" the rear strut at the same time.

If you raise its top mounting point, you have effectively "shortened" the strut.

Actually, if you have lowered the rear of the car through shorter springs and run stock length rear struts, you can put those struts in the "correct" operating stroke position by raising the point there the top of it mounts to the car.

In the long run, you will preserve the integrity of the strut by allowing it to not travel far outside its working range.

You can also run shorter struts.
