90 Escort GT

Hey gang, I was looking at some of the older strands on the Escorts and I saw that Racescort was looking to get the 89-90 EGT qualified for ITB. How is this coming along?? I can actually get my hands on a 90 GT for free (yes, the magic word). Its got a cracked head, but Im not gonna have any issues finding one and replacing it. Anyway, let me know what you folks have found out about this one. I dont wanna have to run a VW Rabbit... Thanks!!!

I'd love to see it happen, but I could not as yet find it classified in Fastrack News.

It should be ITB because it is no different than the 88 EGT.

I talked to Sven Pruitt on the Comp. Board in Denver and he said it was put on the spec line at the last meeting. It should show in the May Fastrack. I started talking with him in like Dec. or Jan. and they finally got to it in the first of March meeting. So it should show the 89 & 90 Escort GT as ITB.

Niether. I race a Mercury Lynx.

Mostly Nelson and Watkins Glen.

Cracked head? Suggest ARP head bolts. Stops the problem. Uniform clamping u know.

Don't know? You mean Discs in the rear?

I think they first showed up in 1991 with the Mazda/Ford GT
