Default ITC 510 strut tube info

    Hi,

A few q's as I try to put together my ITC 510.

I don't have access to my 510 since its off at the media blaster right now,

    1) what is the diameter of teh front strut tubes?

    2) What length threaded collar are you using to convert to coil overs?

    3) what spring length is needed to get me in the right ball park as far as ride height?

    Thanks,
    Shant

5 to 7 inch collars will work fine.

I like to use 8 inch front springs and a low tension helper spring. I can't remember the diameter of the stock 510 tube. I normally retube them to a 2" diameter tube.

    Shant -
I built a ITC 510 a couple of years ago, and can help you out. Not sure of dimensions, but whomever you buy the parts from should know what fits. Placement of the collar after the struts are shortened will determain the spring length and the collar to some degee, so there is no one answer. The problem I had (Carrera shocks) was making the spacers to support the shock tube. I will give you some good parts sources, so e-mail at [email protected] in a few days.
