    Default E30 Clutch

Last weekend at Buttonwillow I experienced a clutch failure on my E30 325i. Upon disassembly I discovered that the clutch fell apart in about 15 pieces. I recently acquired this car so I'm not sure how long the clutch had been in service but it did have plenty of clutch material left on it. The clutch looks like a standard Sachs sport clutch and pressure plate. I'm looking for advice on a replacement clutch, is the Sachs clutch adequate or should I use a puck style clutch? Thanks

Clutch material and pressure plate are open...just have to be the stock size...lighter is better. Chuck

I'm assuming that the spring center came apart... Ireland Engineering has a solid center friction disk with metalic pucks. Its almost impossible for that to come apart.
