    Default Spring rate for E30

I have been getting my stuff together for the suspension for the new E30 I am building over the winter. My first E30 race car had 550lb Front and 600lb Rear 2.25" springs, but the new setup I purchased came with 450lb front, and 550 lbs rear 2.5" springs. Does that sound right to you for a 325 E30 race car.

Typically the setup is 2.5" coils front and 2.25" coils in the rear.

The spring rates you mention are also what is usually sold by a few vendors, but I could never get them to work on my E30.

    If I remeber correctly I was running 2 1/2" 400# or 450# Fronts and 2 1/4" 600# rear on my E30.
