    Default Steering lock removal

Can anybody lend any tips on what I need to hammer, drill, or unbolt to disable the steering column lock on a Z3? Can any of you E36 folks provide some insight as to what you did on your cars?

    Thanks,

Check under tech tips on the Bimmerworld website: www.bimmerworld.com. They have the steering lock removal procedure for the E36.

be careful with the bimmerworld picture! do not drill where the picture has a hole drilled. drill where the little red square has been added to the pic. it is the forward left corner of the bottom of the lock cyl. drill the hole and a little spring comes out. procedure is then done! easy.....as long as you drill in the right place...don't ask me how i know.
