    Default ATTENTION ALL E-36 RACERS

Finally after finishing up the season with my ITB 2002 I'm ready to start work back on my ITS car, a '94 325is. The poor thing has been sitting for over a year as a roller with just the cage in it (a real shame). My question is. I'd like to hook up with some other E-36 racers and brainstorm. If your interested please feel free to write me at [email protected] or we could use this forum. Just so you know I've been racing for 22 years and am based in Southern California.
    Thanks in advance.

Go kick butt (for a change)

For other readers not knowing him: He is fast
    I never beat him

Here is some footage of the english man in action: http://www.roadracingvideos.com/rrv_videospage319.htm

Yes: He does drive on the wrong side of the road! . . .often!

I've got a video cassette of the American Sports Cavalcade coverage of a Renault Cup race from Laguna (c1985?) featuring the aforementioned driver running. It was the year that Parker J. won the series and is a fun memory for me, as Brock and Steve used our car in the opening "this is Ren-olt Cup" schtick.

Kirk. The Renault Cup certainly was a lot fun. A lot of good drivers came out of that series, Parker Johnstone, Mitch Wright, Charlie Downs, Lance Stewart, Andy Pilgrim to name but a few. I find it interesting that spec series have not really caught on here in the States. In England they have tons of them, VW bugs, Citroen2cvs, Minis you name it they have a series for them. Fortunatly Mazda seems to be fixing that with the Miata series.
So, whats that tape worth? That could be a fun watch.
    Cheers.

Sorry, man - can't put a price on our three minutes of pro racing fame! The funniest part is Brian (driver) and me (car owner) wandering around in the background during the intro, trying to stay in frame...

If you want a copy, I could dupe one for you. It is a good race, including the big mess in the old T1 on the start.
