    Default E30 Front calipers....Girling vs. ATE

    Is one better than the other. Why is there two different types?

    I don't know if one is better than the other, but the Ate units are almost impossible to find as replacement units at any of the usual BMW parts outlets. If you have Ate calipers, you'll either have to rebuild them yourself (which is what I did) or change over to the Girling units.
