    Default 325is oil cooler

I would like to remove the oil cooler from my e30 325i. The reason for removing the cooler is because it is very close to the ground and would be easy to get a hole punched into it. I thought of just relocating it, but I don't see where it is really worth having it on the car in the first place. I only run regular 12-18 lap races, no enduros. I don't have an engine temp problem and I change the oil all the time.
Problem: When I take the cooler off, I am left with no way to install the filter.

Does the 325e have a cooler or just a threaded nipple to spin the filter onto? If just the threaded nipple, would one work on a 325i? I'm guessing yes.
Thanks in advance for your help.

don't think you want to remove the oil cooler, but you can go to the local wrecking yard and find a non-oil-cooler bmw that has a fitting only for the oil filter, no lines.

Yes, you can get the nipple from BMW for a couple of dollars. I did the opposite of what you are doing.
