    Default Trailing arms bushings?

    What kind of trailing arm bushings are you all using? I have heard the K-Mac adjustable kits do not give enough adjustment. If you have found a good set up please let me know where I can get them.

    We have a new kit, adjustment similar to Kmac, but I think the design and construction is superior. If you are looking for the best solution, there is a Porsche place somewhere on the west coast that has a solution, we charge $300 for the install on to of the kit price - it is very involved. If you want to go this far, email me and I will dig up the info for you.

    korman also has a solution, installation of brackets and eccentrics on top of the regular subframe ears. then use standard bushings. pricey, but loads of adjustment.

    Chuck,
    I don't think that would be legal. That would be changing/moving the mounting point. The GCR only permits replacing the bushing.

    We better be careful with this thread, it may get ugly like the spherical bearing thread.

    Or slotting for adjustment I think. Not sure if extending the tab for an added slot is legal...

    James, what does your kit consist of? Mark, what are you running in your car? Please forgive me if I am asking you to share your secrets, and disregard if so. Just trying to get all this stuff ordered in time for school.

    mark, yes i am using this..about legality, very similar to using a camber plate. slot the stock tab to adjust, the eccentric holds everything in place. seems to me the gcr allows slotting holes to adjust camber.

    GCR sections D.5.d.2 and D.5.d.4 seem to contradict each other. If D.5.d.2 wasn't there, then I would say you are legal. If D.5.d.4 wasn't there then I would say you are illegal. And then there's D.5.d.8.....

    This is another "grey area" that needs clarified. If D.5.d.1-2 applies to front suspension only, than it should say so, and if D.5.d.4 includes slotted holes at all mounting points or just at the top of the strut tower.

    I think the fact that you have added braces to the subframe, will be the hard part to get though a protest.

    Check with your regions Scrutineer. Get his opinion.

    PS. If you come up North to race, I won't protest you.

    Our kit is hard Urethane (black) bushing, large metal sleeve eccentrics, hardware. Doesn't loosen up like Kmac.

    Gone on One Lap of America as of tonight. Driving one of our E36 ITS cars, 6k miles, 1 week. Should be fun, stop by if you are nearby. www.onelapofamerica.com.
