    Default LSD or Welded diff.

I have a 90 BMW 325i with independant rear and no LSD. I have been looking (and wishing) for a LSD.....but the discussion has me thinking about welding one.
Is there anyone out there that has welded a BMW diff? Good idea or Bad? Recomendations...

    Dennis,

I have run a 2002 with welded diff, E30 325 with quafe, E36 325 with limited slip, and E30 with lsd.

The locker pushs in the corners and definately costs at least a second a lap. The quafe was the best, but if you need several diffs, it gets pretty expensive.

I now run factory lsd's and rebuild them once a season.

    Hope this helps.
