The Header is a racing beat header. If it is a Racing Beat header it will have a stylized RB cut into the flange that bolts to the engine.

The cooler doesn't look OEM to me at all. The factory cooler I have is a double pass two row with flat tubes. Looks more like a small aluminum radiator. THe OEM cooler I have also has a thermostat.

Mazda Trix has some photo's of OEM coolers on their site, I believe.

THat header doesn't seem to have the RB cut out on the flange. If it's cut out it's obvious. It's been ten years since I had a RB header, but I *thought* they were a one peice flange set up, with the Rb in the middle. THe lower flange located at the outlet of the header does look like a Racing Beat part, but they do sell the parts a la' carte...

The cooler is NOT a stock unit. I have no idea on it.

    Thanks Guys!

The tubes are individual flanges, which told me it wasn't an RB part, but I agree with you Jake, the flange looks to be a racing Beat unit.

The oil cooler bums me out; I really need a spare, but that's hard to do if we can't ID it!

I may convert over to a 2nd gen oil cooler similar to my pro7.

Oil cooler id complete. It looks like a hayden heavy duty unit.

Looks like a pace setter. Racing Beat uses a one piece flange at the engine.

That is not an RB header.

Do you run an oil temp gauge? I seriously doubt that cooler is up to the task.

    Chris,

Thisis John Resiert's old car.. I think you've seen it or worked on it? Formerly Jay Shadoan's car..

Thus far I have only run it long enough to get get it off the trailer, move it in the driveway to take some pictures with my P7,
http://gcrall.miller-motorsports.com/image...asp?fldr=RX%2D7 and prove it still leaks oil.
It does have an oil temp guage, which I'll be watching when I shake it down. (post- new cage/seat/harness/window net install)

I've talked to John breifly over email but never seen the car. You get a rotary to not leak and you've accomplished something!

ha! My p7 doesn't leak (okay, the motor has ~4 hours on it; but...). It looks like this is on of the external oil lines. once I prove it, it wil lbe a good catalyst to swap to a 2nd gen cooler setup similar to my the other car.
