    Default Throw out bearing difference?

Is there a difference in the throw out bearing in and early and late model transmissions for the 2nd gen. I had a tranny rebuilt by a friend and I installed it in the car and when I replaced it I put the throw out bearing from the 89 tranny in the 86 when I put it back in. I guess the questions is "do I need to pull it and change to the 86?"

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Doug,
Yes, the throwout bearings are different. Before you take it back out though, how does the Clutch pedal feel?

IIRC, the later release bearing is slightly thinner than the early one.

The clutch pedal feels fine. It just makes some funny noises that it didn't make before when I press the clutch in. I raced it like it is and didn't have any problems during the race.
