Default Air dams for ITA Miata?

Anyone know of anyone that makes one or more? I'm wondering about reducing drag on the straights. Extra grip is never a bad thing either.

Have you checked with Mike @ ISC?

Do you think you will get both? It is usually one or the other.

If there is less air going under a car like ours, it will be faster, usually, because all that stuff underneath disturbs the air flow, IIRC. While there is an increase in frontal area, it is offset by the fact that there is much less disturbed air at the underside and back of the car.

BTW Al, you should see the tub you sold me...cleaned and painted it looks really nice. I'll send you pix soon.

Al, either one will help improve the car. I know there is more left in the car then I get out of it, but extra grip would give me a little more corner speed and if it is just more straight line speed (i.e. less drag) then I'm happy with that too.

BTW, thanks again for fixing up my car at VIR.

We made a simple "home made" one, but we had to stop using it because the lack of airflow under the car made the heat from the header cook the area under the gas pedal so much that my shoes were smoking.

We need to get back to our drawing board to be able to shield or cool that area before we go back to the air dam.
