Thread: 2nd gen lateral link

    Default 2nd gen lateral link

I bent a rear-suspension lateral link on my '86 RX-7. Last night, in trying to remove it, I was unable to get the inboard bolt all the way out -- it hits the tub. On the other hand, it was *almost* out, and I was tired, so I didn't try that hard.

The question is: Do I need to loosen up the rear subframe to replace the lateral link, or do I just need to curse and swear and wiggle it a bit more? Thanks.

Just undo the camber link and you should have enough clearance. If not loosen the subframe 22mm nuts.
