    Default Stock Fan HP drain?

    Anyone have dyno #s, or proven #s on the stock radiator fans HP drain?

    I can't give you actual numbers (which is, I know, what you were looking for!), but I think of it this way: I have just over 100 hp at the rear wheels. (Others have a little more, but nevermind that!) Now...say the fan (and I assume you are refering to the belt driven one) takes 1 or 2...even three horsepower. That's about 2%! I can't give up that much. I think most guys are running electric, and then I bet it's only on in grid. I still need to put SOME kind of fan on mine...

    Scott,

    After installing my JY (junkyard) Racing Engine, it Dyno'd at 110HP (near stock timing). Took off stock fan and increased to 112HP.
