Default Need Rotary Advice, Water in Oil!

I have a 79' ITA RX7, I drained the oil to find the water from the radiator come out with it. I am new to rotaries, is there a possible fix for this or do I need a new engine? I just put straight water in it a couple of weeks ago and it did not have this problem then, but the temp. has gone below zero since then, I think I froze and cracked somthing? I have not run the engine since it has had this problem. I would really apreciate any advice.

Does not sound good----If the problem is repeatable----the engine is likely toast. Sorry to be the bearer (sp??) of bad news-------whatever were you thinking to fill it with pure water in a cold/potential freezing climate---thats a big NO-NO. Having said that I admit to having don exactly what you did--but I didn't get "stung" as you appear to have been.

You could just replace your coolant seals, but i'd imagine that if you had your whole motor apart you would likley rebuild it anyways.
