Default Wiring an Autometer Tach on 12a????

How the heck did you guys wire in your tachs?

We're trying to figure it out on our first Gen RX7 and are getting nowhere. We've got a 10,000 rpm Monster tach with peak recall if that makes any difference.

I think you go to the trailing coil for the reading. I know you cut the wires to make the tach read like a 4cyl. put a fuse in line with the power, just in case. rather blow a $.10 fuse than a $100. tach

green wire to trailing coil negative side
    red to power
    white to interior/tail light power
    black to ground
cut both loops (4 cylinder setting)

Thanks guys! That helps a bunch! Good idea Chris. The line is already fused but I may put a smaller fuse inline just to be on the safe side.
