    Default Hondata ECU

I am considering one of these and am looking for input...I have heard different things on this, and am curious if anyone has good/bad/indifferent experience with it. Is it a plug in ecu with a pre burned chip or is it tuneable on the dyno etc...I have found pricing at 245.00 but I would imagine it would cost more if we dyno it to tune it in....anyone?

I know of a couple of ITA Integra's who are running Hondata S100 systems. They all seem to claim some decent gains from what I've heard. I've been toying with the idea too since I've only tried some custom chip set ups and am having a hard time getting much more than 1whp out of my computer.

I've managed to smooth out the power curve and get my A/F where I want it. But peak power gains have been really elusive.

I've also heard that the Mugen programs work well.

edit - oh yea, and if you go with the Hondata, anticipate the charges of dyno time. Also, to answer the above, I believe the Meccanic shop guys have had success with Hondata as well as custom chips. When in doubt....

The Hondata systems are programable and you will need dyno time to optimize it to your car. That being said, I think it's one of the best setups you can run on your Honda if you can run ODBI or have a K-series motor.

The S300 OBD1 version is due next month.
