Default I picked a paint scheme for my racecar...

Now I just need a car (got one lead right now). It came to me at Pizza Hut where I doodled on a napkin, came home and sketched it out.

Just looked up at my movie poster of Steve McQueen-LeMans. Your sketch caught my eye and reminds me very much of the Gulf Porsche. It is a striking car and your version should be really awesome.

That's pretty funny! Glad to see that I'm not the only one obsessed with racing.

I liked the blue & yellow more than the blue & red. Pretty cool!

Yep, the late 60's Gulf cars, Porsche and GT40s, and a current Midwestern Council Spec Renault...

There were a couple different stripe schemes used, so check the various incarnations by searching "Gulf gt40" or "gulf porsche". I personally like the gt40 scheme where the stripe pans out at the front and goes just under the headlights.
