Default Integra Kill Switch, take two

Couldn't find my old thread, so here's a new one.

I've been asked at the track from time to time about my kill switch install. So I finally stepped up and put together a web page describing it.

Hope this is helpful to someone.

    HELPFUL--YOU BET!!!!
Thank you for showing a terrific solution. My CRX will be very happy now. We were having a terrible time deciding on how to get the switch inside the car- This solution just ROCKS.
BTW: There is a rod version of your setup used by most drag racing folks I know. I would think it could be adapted for some cars.
    Great install.

Very tidy - you continue to set a good standard, man.

I have seen similar approaches (was standard practice on rally cars for a long time) where they mount the switch on the dashboard where the driver/co-driver can reach it, and run a cable like you have done for emergency response from outside.

    Thanks for the pics!

    What a simple, clever idea!

Only problem I can see is that you must use a kill switch with a non-removable handle, like the one pictured.

My keyswitch is the red plastic removable type and I think it would pull out before rotating.

Good idea. Well done too. I place my kill switch inside the car. Had a plate welded where my knee bar meets the driver's side pilar bar (lack of technical names). I like fact that it is reachable by me. However, now I'm thinking of how I can add a external cable pull mechanism to it.

Great idea. One question though. When wiring the kill switch to disconnect the battery, the car won't shut off when running by pulling the disconnect wire because the car is using the alternator to run. How do you make the motor kill when it's running?

If you notice-the switch indeed has a second pair of terminals that the alternator FIELD is connected to. The switch is available from several sources BTW. I got mine from Longacre.
I would like to know where the originaor of this thread connected his alternator wiring and what gauge he used. Also did you run along the harness or somewhere else.
