Injectors, what to do?
I'm in the process of rebuilding the head of my 89 CRX and was wondering what to do with the injectors. Not that I had fuel problems but should I have the injectors tested?, cleaned?, blueprinted?, gold plating?
Thanks!

send them off to RC to have them cleaned and balanced. $20 per injector, I think?

Historically, Honda makes very good injectors that don't require much maintainence. We have had several injectors tested & cleaned, and the worst one had only 2% less performance.

Thanks for the info.

I recently had my injectors sent to Marren Motorsports and one of them was out by 4%.
That is from a 1995 Integra.
So I would have them sent out, cleaned, flow-matched and they will replace all the seals on the injector also. Cost was $100.

Scott,
Thanks for the info. I was thinking of sending them to RC but I'll go ahead then send them to Marren Motorsports www.injector.com .

FYI - Just got my injectors back from Marren Motorsports and come to find out, I had 5.4% lost and 2 out of the 4 injectors had a bad spray pattern.

Any noticable difference in the way it runs after?

J,
The head is off the motor at the machine shop and I won't be running the car until August (hopefully). We'll see how the car feels then.
