    Default Wheel studs

Are Honda wheel studs the same? I cross threaded a wheel stud. So can I order any wheel stud for any given Honda? Or are Civics different from CRXs and Integras?

Honda wheel studs are all the same,12mmx1.5mm. However if you want an intersting tip that I use here goes. The wheel studs from a '96-98 Acura 3.2TL are longer than a civic's studs. Not only is there more strength this way but because there is stud sticking out the end of nut, if you do a boo-boo to the end of the threads this allows you to try and repair it easier. And if you can't, in a pinch, you could cut a bit off the end of the stud and still have full thread contact.

The longer studs dound like a great idea! Just make sure you get new nuts - for the rims

The stock lugs are closed on the outside and I don't know if they will work with the longer studs.

Actually the stock nuts basically have an end cap that is chrome and is not very thick. You can remove the end cap from the nut by grinding it off, or simply letting the nut screw through the longer stud with your air gun.

Another tip. Go to your local parts store and ask for a Dorman (manufacturer) 610-323 wheel stud. They are M12X1.5, are twice as long as the stock CRX studs, have the same knurl size, and are about $1 a piece. Would you believe that these are actually over length replacement studs for many GM applications?
