    Default Master cylinder choices

I'm thinking of buying a new master cylinder, but in looking at the part numbers, I'm wondering if there are any differences b/t MCs that are both 20.64mm and adaptable to power brakes, but have different part numbers.

The one I want is 117611019A, but the part # for the Rabbit GTIs is 175611025A (Bendix). will there be any difference in brake feel or performance -I'm guessing not, but I thought I would ask.

    Thanks,
    PJ

As I recall, some have different mounting hole spacing, so watch out (thus requiring different boosters). Other than that, the differences are mostly just style (angle and number of threaded outlets).

I think there are at least 2 different master cylinders available for these rabbits. The difference appears to be the mounting flanges to the vacuum booster. One is wider than the other and are not compatible.

The wider one costs more $ - at least for my car.
