    Default cooler adapter

I have a '79 ITC Rabbit and I am searching for a spin-on adapter to sandwich between my oil filter and base to allow me to put in an external cooler. Where do I find them? Performance shops around here revolve around the SBC, so I am not getting anywhere. Any of the VW people make a weld-in oil pan baffle to keep the oil at the pickup? Thanks for your help.

I got my adapter from Racer Wholesale, including the Aeroquip lines, etc. The adapter and cooler wasn't real expensive, but the lines were. I would be hesitant to buy anything used like that that my oil would come in contact with.

If you're looking to save a few bucks find a turbo Volvo in a u-pull it yard. The ones with the air/oil cooler are a direct fit on a VW. As a bonus it's got a built in thermo so it only opens when the oil is up to temp. I think it's set to 85C. You can get a new o-ring from a Volvo dealer for about $2.
I wouldn't worry about a used sandwich plate. There’s not much to them.
