    Default Heater Core Replacement

In order to get my car legal, I have to install a heater core (P.O. took old one out). The car came with AC, (which was long ago stripped out). Can I take a non AC heater core (which is $30-40 cheaper) and use it?

Since A/C, and A/C related stuff is removeable, I would say that you can replace the A/C heater core w/ a non-A/C heater core.

I have my new core installed, but since all of the heating stuff (blower, controls, etc) are gone the thing is just hanging there by the two hoses. I tried suspending the thing from the foward cage bar with tie wraps, but I know that will not last long. Any ideas or suggestions?
