Rain Tires

Any suggestions for rain tires (size & brand)? Car = '88 GTI 16V. My drys are Kuhmo 225-50-14's. Thanks

I use shaved v700 225-50-14 for drys and full tread v700 225-50-14 for rains on my 85 gti. Excellent tires.

Hoosier Dirt Stockers in 205/60-14. With then, you'll never know it's raining. They turn to goo if it dries.

As Jake said, the Dirt Stockers are 'it' if it's truly a wet race. For intermediate conditions, I like full-tread Toyo Proxes RA1's. They'll work in the wet, just not as good as the Hoosiers. But, they won't be junk in 5 laps if it dries out.
